2012 Fire Tax Forms

The Fiscal Court passed ordinance #03-2012-656 authorizing fire dues to be collected by the sheriff as part of the county tax bill. The Sheriff’s office has no control over this tax but it must be collected. As per the same ordinance you are entitled to a refund of the fire tax but this must be collected from the responsible fire department for the area of your property. This department will be listed on your tax bill. Please download the forms here. The magistrate and fire departments contact information as well as the refund form and the future opt out forms are included. Please complete these forms.

2011 Tax Period Starts October 1st

All tax bills will be mailed before October 1st, 2011. At that point the tax records will be available online here. The records will update on the website after business hours. New this year will be the ability to pay your tax bill online from our website.

The 2010 Tax Collection Period has ended

You spoke and we listened. We have re-worked the tax search area and are happy to announce that you can now search by street name or street number. Also you can now search previous years tax records back to 2003. Simply change the tax year to search box to the year you wish to search. But don’t worry by default the current tax year is selected.

2009 Tax Season is Here

2008 Tax Season Closed

The collection period for taxes for the 2008 period has ended. The sheriff’s office can no longer accept payments for property taxes for the 2008 tax year. All the tax records have been transferred to the county clerks office. If you have an unpaid tax bill, you will need to make payment arrangements with the Grant County Clerks office next to the courthouse during normal business hours.

The tax information available on this website will still be available but will not be updated regularly. All paid tax bills through April 17th, 2009 at 10:00am are displayed from this site’s tax search page.
