Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy Lee Jacobs was honored with the Governor’s Award for Impaired Driving Enforcement for making the most driving under the influence arrests during 2007.
Jacobs has been a deputy since 2005. The sheriff’s department, comprised of 13 officers, had 65 driving under the influence arrests during 2007 and Jacobs lead the agency in DUI arrests.
Prior to joining the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, Jacobs worked as a police officer in Owenton, as well as for a national security agency in Nashville and as a park ranger in Boone County.
He resides in Owen County.
